{"id":7706,"date":"2023-08-18T16:56:34","date_gmt":"2023-08-18T15:56:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/?p=7706"},"modified":"2023-08-18T16:56:37","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T15:56:37","slug":"a-project-supported-by-the-municipality-presents-a-prototype-of-an-electric-and-autonomous-formula-type-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/en\/a-project-supported-by-the-municipality-presents-a-prototype-of-an-electric-and-autonomous-formula-type-car\/","title":{"rendered":"A project supported by the municipality presents a prototype of an electric and autonomous Formula type car"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"964\" height=\"389\" src=\"http:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FST.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FST.png 964w, https:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FST-300x121.png 300w, https:\/\/oeirasvalley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FST-768x310.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Lisboa Formula Student Project is designed to develop prototypes of Formula cars and to stimulate the new generation of engineers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through national and international competitions, which have been taking place for 20 years already, it was possible to meet the latest prototype created by the team of 50 students from <a href=\"https:\/\/tecnico.ulisboa.pt\/en\/\">Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico<\/a>: the FST12 \u2013 fullyelectric and autonomous, which will be taken to the next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sponsored by the Municipality of Oeiras with a gold level within the scope of the Oeiras Science and Technology Strategy (EOCT) for 2020-2025, this project is led by Dinis Ventura, one of the 50 students who annually work to design, develop and build cutting-edge vehicles \u2013 in this case, the ninth electric vehicle and the third autonomous vehicle to be developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fstlisboa.com\/\">FST Lisboa<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the presentation event it was possible to see the prototype in action. It will compete in the Electric Vehicle (EV) and Driverless Vehicle (DV) categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last season (2021\/2022), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fstlisboa.com\/\">FST Lisboa<\/a> won 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in Formula Student Germany (FSG) and 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in Formula Student Spain (FSS) in the DV category, highlighting the &#8220;excellence, ambition and teamwork&#8221; praised by Rog\u00e9rio Cola\u00e7o, president of the <a href=\"https:\/\/tecnico.ulisboa.pt\/en\/\">Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year of Formula Student Portugal (FSP) takes place between July 31 and August 6, in Castelo Branco; the next FSS will be held between August 7 and 13, at the Circuit of Catalonia (Spain); and the next FSG is going to be between August 14 and 20 at the Hockenheim Circuit (Germany) \u2013 all competitions the FST Lisboa has ahead of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lisboa Formula Student Project is designed to develop prototypes of Formula cars and to stimulate the new generation of engineers.
