To support the population, especially citizens who are in a more vulnerable situation or more exposed to the risks associated with the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the Oeiras City Council has activated several support mechanisms. If you live or have family members living in Oeiras, here are three essential telephone support contacts to take into account during this fight against COVID-19.
Social Emergency Line: 915 407 455
One of the first measures taken by the municipality to fight COVID-19 was the reinforcement of the Social Emergency Fund by 750 thousand euros (from 250 thousand to 1 million euros) to take care of the potential needs of residents in the current context. At the same time, a social emergency line was created. The objective is to ensure the delivery of food, shopping for domestic supplies, medicines and meals prepared for the elderly and the vulnerable population. If you require this support, call the social emergency line: 915 407 455.
Psychological Support Line: 914 354 326
Aware that the unusual situation we face may increase the appearance of psychological problems among citizens, the Municipality of Oeiras has created a specific line for psychological support to those who need it. If you require this support, contact the following number: 914 354 326.
Volunteer Line: 214 420 463 / 210 977 439
Because all support is welcome to help fight the effects of the current pandemic, the Oeiras City Council created a Volunteer Bank specifically to address the current pandemic emergency situation. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the following telephone numbers 214420463 / 210 977 439; or send an email to the following address: b.voluntariado@cm-oeiras.pt.
Other contacts:
- In addition to the support and emergency telephone contacts referred to above, the Municipality created a COVID-19 telephone line, aimed at City Council employees who are at the forefront of the fight against the new coronavirus and all Civil Protection agents in the Municipality (firefighters, PSP agents, volunteers serving the Municipality). This line is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm. Here support is provided for any doubts or needs, as well as information on possible symptoms, thus avoiding the need to test for the virus
- The Oeiras City Council also made a specific email address available to residents (covid19@cm-oeiras.pt ) to answer any questions.
