Oeiras has extended until 15 June the deadline for applications to the Technical and Scientific Cooperation Programme between the Municipality and Higher Education Institutions, an initiative that aims to stimulate the creativity of Higher Education students, encouraging them to apply with innovative projects that offer solutions for the priority areas defined by the Municipality.
The objective of this initiative, which falls under the Oeiras Science and Technology 2020-2025 Strategy, is for the projects to contribute towards addressing problems relating to one of five themes launched in this round of the programme. Those themes are: adaptation to climate change; energy efficiency in public lighting; the built environment, physical activity and the provision of sports; urban waste management; the use of LIDAR/Laser Scan Data – what are the challenges?
In this context, two scholarships, worth five thousand euros each, are foreseen for the two candidates who present the most innovative ideas. These scholarships will be awarded to support the development of the winning entries during the course of the 2021/2022 academic year.
These four questions and answers show in greater detail the format of this programme and how applications may be submitted.
