Many technology firms have now set up in Oeiras. They include HP, Cisco, Dell, Google, Canon, Cilnet, Cignon; Google, Outsystems and PHC Software. This Portuguese technology firm recently announced that it plans to invest 12 million euros in creating new facilities at Taguspark, under the concept of “best place to work”.
“We are focused on being the best place to work in Portugal. This is a sign of our growth, but also of our clear ambition: we want people working at PHC to have the best conditions in which to perform their duties, that they feel comfortable and are even happier. However, to do this, we need to go even further and redefine the concept of the workplace, making the vision of the best place to work a reality”, indicated Ricardo Parreira, CEO of PHC Software in a press release.
The examples and statistics demonstrate that Oeiras boasts various attractive factors in appealing to technology firms. It is worth bearing in mind that the municipality is home to 10.8% of ICT firms in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
