One of the largest office buildings in the country is arriving in the municipality of Oeiras: more specifically, in Carnaxide. This is the World Trade Center, a registered trademark used in more than 300 office buildings worldwide, and which has now also arrived in Portugal. The real estate project involves an investment of 120 million euros, with its construction being promoted by Foz Vintage.
The project includes a total area of 70,000 m2 distributed over three buildings with 25,000 m2 of offices and 4,000 m2 of commercial areas for restaurants, shops and gyms. It will also have a building for a hotel with 127 rooms and an auditorium for 205 people, and another for retail with an area of 1,700 m2. There will be a further 10,000 m2 of gardens and outdoor spaces and parking for 1,000 cars. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
The objective is to lease the facilities to “large domestic and international companies and large business groups that can use several floors or, at the very least, one floor per company [2,000 m2 each]”, explained Vasco Fonseca, operations director at Foz Vintage, to Semanário Expresso.
According to the same official, it is also intended to become an “environmentally responsible development”, with the provision, for example, of fast chargers for electric cars and authorisation for the entry of pets.
