Talkdesk will open its fifth office in Portugal in Oeiras. The announcement was made a few days ago by the company. With this decision, the company founded by entrepreneurs Tiago Paiva and Cristina Fonseca returns to the municipality where it was born.
It is recalled that Talkdesk, considered as a unicorn (designation attributed to companies that reach an evaluation higher than one billion dollars), took its first steps in Taguspark. It was here that the two former students of the Instituto Superior Técnico began to develop the call centre service through the cloud, available to any type of company, which made Talkdesk a worldwide phenomenon.
Thus, after Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Aveiro, Talkdesk is preparing to return to Oeiras. “It is in Portugal that our software is developed and we want to reinforce our commitment to national talent and to technology and innovation. By settling in Oeiras, a leading technological ecosystem on the outskirts of Lisbon, we are closer to our goal of reaching 1,000 engineers by the end of this year,” said Marco Costa, Talkdesk’s Managing Director for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in a press release.
Talkdesk justified this investment with the company’s growth trajectory and with its hiring needs. The company is already hiring people for its new office in Oeiras, looking for around 100 specialists in the areas of ‘cloud’, artificial intelligence and SaaS (Software as a Service).
People interested in working at Talkdesk will be able to check the vacancies available and submit their application here.
