In order to facilitate the mobility of those who work or live in the municipality, the Oeiras City Council launched the Valley Shuttle transport service in September. The idea is that this transport alternative will help to bridge the supply gaps in public transport operators licensed by the central administration. It is a medium-capacity passenger transport service that ensures the connection between Paço de Arcos train station and the business parks of Quinta da Fonte, Lagoas Park and Taguspark.

The service runs on business days, between 7.00am and 7.00pm. The Valley Shuttle passes every 20 minutes.
- What are the stops where you can get on and off the Valley Shuttle?
People interested in using this transport alternative only have to go to a Vimeca bus stop that is labelled with the Valley Shuttle image and wait for the next shuttle to pass.
- Do I have to pay for the Valley Shuttle service?
No. Valley Shuttle journeys are free of charge.

It is recalled that this new transport is part of the Municipality’s strategy to improve mobility in the municipality, in what is one of the main priorities of the current Municipal Executive. “The existence of alternatives for urban mobility is one of the main concerns of citizens when choosing the place of residence and/or employment and is also a determining factor for the implementation of companies in the territory”, explained Isaltino Morais, Mayor of Oeiras City Council, on the occasion of the launch of the Valley Shuttle.
