The certification opens doors for international entrepreneurs with residence visas, furthering its position as the “Knowledge City” and attracting talent to Oeiras Valley.
Taguspark – Knowledge City, the incubator of the largest science and technology ecosystem of the Iberian Peninsula, has received a certification from the StartUP Visa Program.
This certification gives an opportunity to international entrepreneurs who wish to move forward with their project in Portugal but do not have permanent residence in the Schengen Area, even if they have not yet established their company. The Taguspark incubator may also help entrepreneurs who already have business projects in their home countries to carry out their activities in Portugal.
With this accreditation, the Taguspark incubator will be able to welcome foreign entrepreneurs who intend to establish an innovation or entrepreneurship project in Portugal so they can benefit from a residence visa or residence permit for entrepreneurial immigrants, which has its own regulation.
The Taguspark incubator, which supports entrepreneurs at all stages, has been at the forefront of the European startupsector since 2011. The incorporation of new areas such as the blue economy, marine sciences, space and defense demonstrates the focus on innovation and competitiveness.
Taguspark’s growing international commitment to being the “Knowledge City” has been attracting more and more talent from all over the world. It hosts nearly 200 businesses, resulting in a significant improvement of the attraction and retention of young entrepreneurial talent in Oeiras Valley.
